Christmas Gift Guide

Eleven months out of the year, if you asked me what I'd like for a present, I'd have eight items at the ready to spout off. But if you asked me during that evasive 12th month -- I would be completely miffed as to what I want and you would just have to take a wild guess as to what I'd like to fulfill your spontaneous act of kindness towards me (which would be just fine too). But, because I only seem to have people clamoring to buy presents for me in December -- that darn 12th month -- I'm always on the hunt for a great gift idea and I love reading all the major magazine and blog gift guides to see what they're listing.

So, I thought it would be fun to compile my own gift guide with a few of the things that have caught my eye recently. Check it out.

Sperry Top-Sider Women's Ladyfish Boots  - $98.00
I love the plaid that's revealed when you fold down the top!

Celestial Coasters from Anthropology - Set of 4 - S32.00
Mike and I are in dire need of coasters at Oakland Avenue. We just got a new coffee table and though I appreciate the dual use our 5 billion wedding napkins are getting, I'd prefer these unique (and permanent) coasters from Anthro. And, they're made by a Minneapolis artist to boot.

Taylor Classic Candy and Deep-Fry Analog Thermometer - $11.32 - Trust Amazon to give a weird number. You know you're a wife when... yes, I truly do want this thermometer. I'm actually not too picky about which one it is, but it'd be handy to have while cooking, instead of my sister-in-law and I googling "how do you tell oil temperatures with out a thermometer" all the time.

Anthropologie's Magnetic Timer  - $12.00
This lil cutie comes in an blue, orange or yellow. Perfect for putting on the fridge.

Orange Lotus Throw Pillow Cover from Etsy Shop, Kainkain - $21.00
This shop turns out the cutest pillow covers! We're in desperate need for a few throw pillows in pretty much every room of our house. You can't go wrong with any pillow from this shop, but of course, I had to go for the orange one.

paperwink's Rubber Address Stamp.  - Stamps range from $18.00-28.00
I know the quality is not the best on this one, but how cute would this address stamp look on Christmas card envelopes? paperwink has plenty of options for whatever style you like, check them all out here.

Williams Sonoma Pizza Stone  - $42.00
Again, another sign I'm a wife. This baking stone is great for breads and pizza -- I'm dying to try it out and watch how it will instantly make my food taste better.

  1. Yeah.. that magnetic timer? I was in Anthro last weekend and of course saw it and thought "hhmm this looks fun!!" so I turn the dial, not REALLY thinking in my head that it was a timer that would go off (yeah my brain disappears when I am in amazing stores) so when I realize that once you turn it on, you cant turn it off, what do I do? turn it all the way to 60 and then make sure I am out of the store in less than an hour :-)
