Weekend in Pictures
Belated birthday dinner for the hubs at Cafe Levain.
Stop everything you're doing (yes, I even give you permission to stop reading my amazing, well-written, oh-so-interesting post) and go.
A little work on the house.
Coffee from a MUG. Doesn't happen often for me. Usually it's a tumbler - or, if I'm really lucky, a paper cup from the Bucks. But somehow, coffee always tastes just a little bit better in a mug, don't you think?
Kinda like pop from a can. That metallic taste just really adds something special.
Saved a $10 and a trip to the dry cleaners by trying out a home remedy to get salt stains out of my Uggs. One tablespoon dish soap to two cups warm water. Let the soap dissolve completely in the water, wipe down the stains and let dry. Keep doing it 'till the stains come out completely (took me two times).
If you'll remember, these baby's changed my life. I was not about to let them look unpresentable.
Don't be fooled - it works. This is an "in progress" pic.
Went to a belated holiday work party and received the best White Elephant gift ever. It's still in the original packaging, unopened. Yes, that's right, there's still shrink wrap on it.
We're seriously considering installing it on Mike's mac - he's never had it and uses "Stickies" if he needs to type something up. Think it would still work?
Brunch with great friends and a new recipe for egg bake. It's always a little risky to make something new with company, but thank goodness this was hit and will now be joining the revered "permeant cook book."
We capped off the weekend with my cousin* Connor's concert - amazing. Seriously, he's talented. Check out his stuff on iTunes stat.
*Fine, he's actually my cousin-in-law, but the way I roll, even if you're not blood, you're my family. I don't like using all that "in-law" stuff. They're my sister, brother, cousin or whatever else - my real family.
